Les Agnelles is located south of Isère, between the city of Grenoble and the town of Sisteron. It is situated between the departments of Isère and Hautes-Alpes and not far from Drôme. The Trieves Plateau is surrounded by three mountains: the Vercors to the west, the Dévoluy to the south and the Oisans to the east.

If you are interested in organic gardening you can visit the spectacular gardens and restaurant of Terre Vivante, a large ecological center in Mens.

It is sponsored by a French nonprofit that researches different aspects of ecological living. Mens is now considered a major ‘green’center in France.

During the summer months there are numerous outdoor activities for you to try such as trekking, horseback riding, paragliding, and all-terrain cycling. You can bungee jump off the Ponsonnas Bridge or stroll through a scenic labyrinth, kayak across the water or attempt ‘via ferrata’ on a rocky mountainside at Lac du Sautet. Guests who enjoy swimming and other aquatic sports can take advantage of Lake Monteynard, the beautiful Lac du Sautet, or the swimming pool in Mens.

In winter, guests who enjoy skiing (both Alpine and cross-country) and snowshoeing can find ski resorts less than 40 minutes from Les Agnelles: Gresse en Vercors, Super Dévoluy, l’Alpe du grand Serre or Lus la Croix Haute
